Neighborhood of the Week: Loveland

December 4, 2017

Welcome to the "Sweetheart of Ohio," Loveland! Nestled along the Little Miami River, this vibrant community offers a TON to those who call it home. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, historic downtowns with plenty of shops/restaurants, and great neighbors -  Loveland could be the place for you!

The Works successfully blends great food with local history to create a unique restaurant experience. This popular dinning spot is located in a landmark structure which has historical significance for Loveland. Built in 1905, the building first served as a water filling station for steam locomotives passing through town. Later on, the building served as the firehouse and public works facility. After soaking up the local history, it's time to order!

Most menu options at The Works are prepared in a brick oven and cooked to perfection. You can't miss with their pizzas, calzones, or the healthy beer and wine list. To find out more visit TheWorksPizza.com

Loveland does the Fourth of July in a big way with its annual Independence Day Celebration. The event festivities include a "kid zone" featuring a magician, live music in Nesbit Park, a Cornhole tournament, and a parade. When the parade concludes in downtown Loveland the main event is ready to begin. The day culminates with a firework show above downtown produced by Rozzi's Famous Fireworks! It is truly an awesome site to see.

The Loveland Bike Trail (also known as the Little Miami Scenic Trail) is a great way to enjoy the great outdoors. The trail follows along the Little Miami River and offers awesome scenery for a bike ride or jog. This particular stretch of the paved trail is 78 miles long and spans from Anderson to Springfield. It ultimately connects to a 270 mile long network of trails that lead all the way to Lake Erie in Cleveland!
